PRICING

Pricing is determined by the size and complexity of the design and number of servings and varies greatly as each cake contains unique and custom design elements. Wedding cakes with more personalized and labor-intensive designs such as intricate piping, hand-painting, gold/silver leaf finishes, lacework, and airbrushing may alter the price.

  • BASIC BUTTERCREAM CAKES
  • $4 per serving for two tiers

    $5 – $6 per serving
    for three or more tiers

  • FONDANT/CUSTOM CAKES
  • $5 per serving for two tiers

    $6 – $7 per serving
    for three or more tiers

  • SCULPTED CAKES
  • $12 – $15 per person

    (25 person minimum)

CONSULTATIONS

Tastings and consultations are by appointment only and tend to take anywhere from half an hour to an hour.

These sessions are $30.00 for up to four people and $15.00 for each additional person more than four. It is often better to keep a consultation/tasting small as having a large group can often be distracting and unfocused.

Tastings include four of our signature cake flavors as well as five filling flavors of your choice! Payment for consultations/tastings can be made before or on the day of the tasting.

DELIVERY

A 30% delivery fee will be charged for all deliveries within a 20-mile radius of Cakes by Design, and for deliveries exceeding 20 miles, there will be an additional charge of $1.00/mile.

A 15% detailing and set-up fee will also be included in the final cost for designs that require additional on-site assembly.

DEPOSIT

50% of the total cost of your cake as well as a signed contract is required to secure your date.

The remaining balance will be due no later than 14 days prior to the event unless an order is placed less than two weeks prior to the delivery date. In this case, the entire amount is due the date the order is placed.

Orders are NOT confirmed until payment has been made.

SUGAR FLOWERS

Sugar flowers are edible, fake blooms delicately sculpted by hand, dusted with gorgeous colors, and carefully arranged to replicate fresh blooms. They add an extraordinary and elegant touch to any cake and can be the perfect alternative if your favorite fresh boom is out of season. Unlike fresh blooms, sugar flowers do not wilt and can be saved as a keepsake from your special day.
